When You and Your Business Are Mature

Are you considering passing on a legacy to children or grandchildren?  Do you have a business you think you may be selling?  Do you want to make sure that temporary illness will not disrupt the business that you have worked so hard to build?

A revocable trust can give you the most flexibility to provide for your protection if you are ill or to provide for the ones you love if you die.  If your assets are primarily in your home and your 401(k), then perhaps it is simpler for you to utilize a beneficiary deed and pay on death designations.

There is no “cookie-cutter” solution for each person.  You can and should have documents which simplify your estate planning needs.  You also deserve to have access to legal advice so you use the documents you have.  If after documents are prepared for you questions surface about how to title your assets or use your powers of attorney, my staff and I answer those questions usually without charge.  Additional fees usually are incurred only if there are new documents or research needed.
